Online dispute resolution

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/, which consumers can use to resolve a dispute and find further information about dispute resolution.

In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is also the possibility, upon request, of out-of-court dispute resolution at the bar association (Rechtsanwaltskammer) in Berlin or Munich (in accordance with § 73 Para. 2 No. 3 BRAO in conjunction with § 73 Para. 5 BRAO) or the lawyer/client arbitration body, the Schlichtungsstelle der Rechtsanwaltschaft, (§ 191f BRAO), and at the Federal Bar (Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer – online on the homepage of the Federal Bar, www.brak.de, email: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).

Out-of-court dispute resolution

We are neither obliged nor prepared, in the event of a dispute with a consumer, to take part in a dispute resolution process before a consumer arbitration board.
